Transforming the Landscape of Rare Cancer Research

 Mission

Our mission is to bridge the gap between discovery and care for those facing

ultra-rare sarcomas and other rare cancers. By fostering collaboration and advancing AI-enabled translational research, we aim to uncover biomarkers and therapeutic vulnerabilities that lead to better treatments—ensuring no diagnosis is overlooked and every life is pursued with relentless determination.

What We Do

Global Outreach

Building global connections among patients, researchers, and institutions to strengthen collaboration, awareness, and access to resources.

Research Funding

Directing critical resources to research uncovering the biology and treatment vulnerabilities of ultra-rare sarcomas and other rare cancers.

Patient Support

Helping patients and families navigate an ultra-rare diagnosis through specialists, trusted resources, and peer support.

OUR COMMITMENT TO CIC-REARRANGED SARCOMA

CIC-rearranged sarcoma is an aggressive and exceptionally rare cancer that most commonly affects adolescents and young adults. Because so few patients are diagnosed, there is limited clinical data, no established disease-specific standard of care, and very little research dedicated exclusively to CIC-rearranged sarcoma.

Rare But Relentless Foundation has a special and enduring commitment to changing this. We seek to help:

  • Connect CIC-rearranged sarcoma patients globally
  • Support collaboration among researchers and cancer centers
  • Expand patient registries and natural-history data
  • Improve access to clinical trials and research opportunities
  • Encourage the investigation of promising treatments
  • Bring greater urgency and visibility to the disease

While our mission includes ultra-rare sarcomas and other rare cancers, CIC-rearranged sarcoma will remain at the heart of our work and the reason this foundation began.

OUR STORY

The Rare But Relentless Foundation began with a single promise: that no person facing a rare cancer should ever have to walk that path alone or without hope for a cure.

Rare But Relentless was born from a firsthand encounter with an ultra-rare cancer. After founder Zach Rothschild was diagnosed with CIC-rearranged sarcoma, he saw how limited research, treatment options, clinical trials, and patient resources can be.

What began as a personal search for answers became a larger mission: connect patients and families, unite leading researchers and institutions, accelerate research, and uncover new treatment possibilities—so no one facing a rare diagnosis feels overlooked or alone.
